In one of his books, C.S. Lewis says (paraphrased) that society, when it sees a problem says, “Well, you can’t go back.” Lewis says, in fact, that is exactly what we need to do when we see a problem; we have to go back to the point where we went astray, fix it and then move forward again. So that’s what I am going to do.
I pretty much jumped into this blog teaching right away without laying some ground work. About thirty years ago I took classes through an accredited Bible school. The required first class was Hermeneutics, the rules for understanding and interpreting the Bible. I really didn’t want to take the class, but instead I wanted to simply jump into studying prophecy. Hermeneutics should have been covered at the beginning of my writing the ringing the bell blog instead of just jumping into teaching. I also should have talked about the various approaches to interpreting and understanding the Book of Revelation. Adding to this, I’m kind of wishing I had organized the sequence of the postings a bit differently.
So, I am going to take a breather on writing for a while and get myself re-oriented; take my own advice and “check it out.” God willing, it shouldn’t be long, so please stay tuned.
Will miss this hope to hear from you soon
Thanks we appreciate all of your hard work and insight. You are a good teacher 👨🏫
