In the Thursday, September 30, 2021 edition of the St. Paul Pioneer Press there was a very short article about Turkey and Russia “solidifying relations.” Turkey has turned against the Biden administration for lack of trust. Instead Turkey has turned towards Russia for trade and military deals.
Last May when Israel was defending itself against rocket attacks from Gaza, Turkey and Russia are reported to have had a telephone conversation declaring that “Israel needs to be taught a lesson.”
Why does this matter? Ezekiel 38 describes a war known as Gog Magog where a massive number of troops come over the hills of Israel to attack them. Most biblical prophecy scholars believe that Gog and Magog and aligned troops primarily refer to Turkey and Russia and probably Iran; both Russia and Turkey are supporters of Iran.
Remember that geopolitical alliances (which countries are friends with which other countries) tend to be very shorted lived, usually a few years or, at most, decades. This definitely advances the potential of Ezekiel’s prophecy happening in the near future.
