Last week (March 1), I was having lunch with some Christian friends and the conversation eventually turned to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and what the coalition of nations were doing to sanction Russia. My concern, I said, was that after this particular war was over, the nations would say, “See what we can accomplish when we all get together and work toward a common goal.” Sounds good on the surface but that thinking leads directly to the foundation for the soon coming one world government.
Sure enough, just a few hours later, immediately prior to Biden’s State of the Union address, PBS News Hour was interviewing Democrat Senator Chris Coons who stated, “President Biden believes that if we come together there’s no problem we can’t solve.” Re-listening to the interview the next day, I realized that Coons was actually referring to Biden’s belief regarding the United States, not the world. However, the principal remains exactly the same, it’s one world government thinking.
Remember the Tower of Babel? (Genesis 11:1-9) God “considered” the city and the tower that was being built to reach Heaven, attempting to usurp God and His authority. God said that if they can do this, there’s nothing they won’t attempt. So He confused people’s language and scattered them across the globe. In the Book of Revelation, we again see Babylon as headquarters of the antichrist and the one world government whose goal, yet again, is to usurp God’s position and authority. Representative of man’s desire to worship himself and not God, Babylon is the second most named city in the Bible. Jerusalem is, of course, the most named city. Babylon runs from the first Book, Genesis, to the last Book, Revelation.
This week Bill Clinton announced the resumption of the Clinton Global Initiative which has pretty much gone mute since 2017. They stopped meeting and pushing their agenda, not because of the Wuhan virus which didn’t officially start until late in 2019, but because the political climate in 2017 was unfavorable towards the Initiative’s goals. You may recall that it was Hilary Clinton who while campaigning in 2016 and in speeches thereafter alluded to the idea of open borders to control immigration. No borders, no country. Virtually every article I checked regarding her position said something like, she tried to walk back her comments, or she tried to clarify..
Satan is behind all of this as we have been constantly forewarned. He does not show his cards but hides his true motive which is to take over God’s throne and be worshipped by all. He will not show up wearing long red underwear and carrying a pitchfork, but rather disguised as a benevolent, world-saving hero.
Think it won’t happen or that you won’t fall for his deception? Imagine a world where there is no food and no means of getting it, where your family is starving and along goes some guy or some form of Artificial Intelligence that claims he/it/they can remedy the situation. Think you won’t say, “Yay. Save us! All I have to do is worship you? No problem. Go for it. Hail Satan?”
We are already seeing product shortages increasing and prices rising. Cat food was over $21.00 today for a bag that sold for $12.00 about 2-3 months ago. Gas has gone from $2.59 when the current US administration came to power to $4.09 today in my small town. No, the gas prices are not due to the war in Russia. Research on the subject revealed that the gas you’re pumping today was refined many weeks ago, long before Russia came into the picture. There was an article last week warning about shortages of fertilizer this spring. Think about it: no fertilizer, no agriculture; no agriculture, no food for your family.
The Bible clearly says the world is going to crash and burn and that most people will not see it coming, just like in the days of Noah. (Matthew 24: 37) We are being warned as we have been for several years. The bible points out that, “…the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plans to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7) From Obadiah, the oldest book of prophecy, through Revelation, the most recent book of prophecy, God has told us through His prophets what His plan is for the redemption of some and the punishment of others. It’s all dependent on whom you choose to worship. “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…” (Joshua 24:15) The choice is ours as are the consequences.
