Thanks for coming back after my recent pause in posting to the Ringing the Bell blog. I sincerely pray that you are getting worthwhile information and insight from it. Since I don’t look at my blog – it’s managed by someone else and all I do is the writing – I was blown away when I was informed about how many people from multiple countries had read it. That is so gratifying and makes me all the more careful to be sure that what I say lines up with God’s Word.

The next couple of postings my not be terribly interesting to you, but they are terribly important and I should have posted them in the early days of this blog. The first is on hermeneutics – the rules by which all of us must understand the Bible. This is God’s holy Word and we are not to willy-nilly attach meaning to verses and passages. The second blog is on the four primary methods used to interpret prophetic scripture and in particular the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. I had assumed that people understood that I approached interpretation from the future point of view. We all know what “assume” does.

Following those two will be two postings on the birth pains that Jesus and the Epistle writers warned us about. First will be a quick glance at the birth pains regarding the planet and the next one on the birth pains regarding mankind.

During the weeks leading up to the Unpause, I asked a number of people in which direction they would prefer that I proceed in future teaching: go down the road of teaching straight out of Daniel/Matthew/Revelation or tie current events into prophecy. Everyone chose connect the dots between current events and scripture. So that is what I will be doing.

“C follows B, B follows A” is my brain’s natural tendency but that needs to be abandoned as a strategy for the topic of end times. Not only is prophetic scripture like trying to find your way through a maze, but current events also have a tendency to just pop up on a schedule known only to God Almighty.

For instance, on August 8, 2020 Israel and the UAE agreed to normalize diplomatic relations. HUGE deal. Pretty much ignored by the national media, (20 seconds of coverage by NBC) by most people in general and by non-prophecy following Christians. This is where Watchmen on the Wall have their place, helping people understand the times. To be a Watchman requires spending hours everyday with the Bible in one hand and the news in the other. And then connecting the dots. I am working on a blog to cover this serious event and will have it posted as soon as it’s finished even if it is interjected between other planned postings.

Please, neither offhandedly accept nor reject what is said in this blog. Check it out. Look it up for yourself in the Bible. If you are a child of God, you are in good hands and there is the most wonderful eternity waiting for you. If you are not a Christ follower, now is a really good time to honestly explore the truth claims of the Bible.
